Meeting Summaries

Not supported for Webex for Government (FedRAMP)

A meeting summary provides a complete, AI-powered text summary of what was discussed and decided during a meeting, powered by Cisco’s industry-leading speech-to-text engine. It enables developers and integrators to capture, analyze, and extend meeting intelligence programmatically.

A meeting summary is composed of a note and a few action items.

The Meeting Summary APIs let you get meeting summaries by meeting ID or delete a summary by summary ID.

Refer to the Meetings API Scopes section of Meetings Overview for scopes required for each API.

NOTE:

  1. Meeting summaries are generated only when AI Assistant is turned on — even if meeting recording is not enabled. Summary will be saved after meeting ends only if related settings and organizational policies allow. Summaries generated by Cisco AI Assistant cannot be updated via API.
